Backyard chase in central Kansas.  Did not write up a full report, but did create a Vlog on this hailacious day.  A fun work outing, ended up with pretty much exactly what I figured I’d get on this lazy Tuesday afternoon.  Below are a few photos/still to mark off some of the cooler moments of the chase.

Me impressed with the hail I found outside (more impressed I didn’t take one to the noggin).
Hail compared to my fake lime (yes, I have one).

Later in the evening (not in the Vlog), I made my way to Great Bend to grab a bite to eat and the storms had blown through there and flooded some of the streets.

Street flooding in Great Bend.

One of the more interesting things I saw came toward the end of the chase as I was making my way back home; the storms to the west were pumping out great lightning, all the while a fire was burning under the storm, so I got a few photos of the fire and lightning.

A successful hail chase, but also got some of that hail video on Good Morning America and The Weather Channel.
